BRIGHTEN SOMEONE'S DAY WITH A SMILEY FACE CARD!

BRIGHTEN SOMEONE'S DAY WITH A SMILEY FACE CARD!

A few month's ago I had this thought that I needed to write cards to my kids and leave them with a treat on their beds. I remember sometimes my mom would leave little notes on my bed growing up and how it made me feel. So, I made these smiley face cards and wrote some personal messages in them of how wonderful I think they are.

Temple Service Cards, Great for Family, Youth or Primary Service Activity

Temple Service Cards, Great for Family, Youth or Primary Service Activity,

Years ago, when I was serving in Young Women's we did a combined Young Women & Young Men activity. It was a Random Acts of Kindness Race. One of the items each group needed to do was go to the temple, wash some windows and leave a card. It is one of the many service activities that I remember.

A Super Fun Activity for Singing Time, with Printables! Punch it Activity

A Super Fun Activity for Singing Time, with Printables! Punch it Activity,

I'm finally getting around to posting about this!! Around a year ago our Stake and Wards were reorganized. Actually, a whole new stake was created and three stakes were reorganized. We were put into that new stake and joined a new ward. While callings were being filled, the bishop asked me to cover singing time in primary for a few weeks. I gladly accepted. One of the week's we did this fun activity to help the primary children review the songs they had been learning that year.

Making Family History Fun for Families and Youth

Making Family History Fun for Families and Youth,

The other day, my son came and told me that since he had a Family Search account, he was asked to doing their Family History activity for the Teachers quorum. His leader later asked me if I could help. So, our thought was to show his quorum that Family History Work can be fun!!

Kindness Bingo A Great Activity for Youth, Families and School Groups

Kindness Bingo A Great Activity for Youth, Families and School Groups,

I am a firm believer that kindness is contagious, but that kindness has to start somewhere. The other day, one of my friends shared a picture of her son's coat, who someone had put chewed up sticky candy in his hood. Why? Why do things like this happen? We hear too many stories of children and youth, being picked on, left out and even bullied. I know that there is goodness within each of us! There is a light that wants to come out and shine for others. Don't get me wrong, there is also so much good that youth do as well! I am so passionate about inviting our youth and children to focus on kindness and service often!

#LightTheWorld Door Decorations Nativity the Christ Child is Born

#LightTheWorld Door Decorations Nativity the Christ Child is Born,

Earlier today I posted some reindeer door decorations that could be used for today's Light The World. You could find them here: From our Herd to Yours.  When I was thinking about what I would make for the door decorations, the reindeer first came to my mind, but then I also thought about doing the nativity. I wasn't sure if I was going to get them both done today. But miraculously, after working from the moment my kids went to school, until they got home, they are now complete!!

Editable Newsletter for January: Great for Wards, Stakes and Presidencies!!

Editable Newsletter for January: Great for Wards, Stakes and Presidencies!!

One thing that I have always believed to be super important is, communication! Newsletters are a great way to keep everyone informed of what is going on, whether it be a ward, a stake, or an organization within either of those. I have learned that a group is more united when the know what is going on. It also gives leadership an opportunity to express their gratitude and provide instruction.

This newsletter would also work great for school groups or even if you want to send out a monthly family newsletter!

Children and Youth Goal Setting Cards

Children and Youth Goal Setting Cards,

When it was announced what the new Children and Youth program would be, I was so excited!! I love that it is individualized and focused on each child and youth growing in a balanced way. I also love the focus on how the goals we make can help us grow to become more like our Savior. Yes, even our physical, social and intellectual goals.
