I was at a friends house helping put handouts together for our Stake Primary meeting. We were talking about Christmas neighbor gifts and I had told her that I had a whole bunch on my blog. She hadn't really visited it, so I showed her some of the tags on it. She had written down a quote by President Monson, that she really loved and was thinking about doing something with it.

Every year I try to come up with something fun to give my ministering sister and neighbors for Christmas. Last year it was the Root beer Reindeer and the cookie mixes. This year, I really wanted to do gnomes. So with that in mind, I went to the store to find a container that would be my base. These ones are done our of a can of peanuts. But you could use a can of hot cocoa mix, or another nut mix. Then I knew I was probably going to use yarn for the beard. So, I went down the yarn isle. I found this faux fur yarn and immediately knew that, it was what I was going to use!! I wanted to find some wooden balls or knobs, but there were none in the store, so I knew I was just going to have to figure something out.

I found these amazing marshmallows!! They are shaped like ghost, so fun right!! I thought they would be super fun for the kids to decorate. A quick, fun and yummy activity to have right at the end of our Family Home Evening.

Nativity Christmas 2x4 Block Decoration and Ornament

As a Young Women Presidency we were thinking about what would be a fun little craft for the Young Women to make at our Christmas party.  So, I designed this block that would be easy and fun for the girls to make. It is an all in one, so that means there is no vinyl to have to work with. Just a little paint and some modge podge.  I love it because it is something the girls can keep for years to come and it can remind them of the true spirit of Christmas. This craft would be great for friends, neighbors, Visiting teaching, etc...

DIY: Toilet Paper Pumpkin and Bean Napkin Ring

 I wanted to take some time and focus on a holiday that seems to be overshadowed. Thanksgiving: On Wikipedia it states, "Thanksgiving Day ... is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year."  For me it is also a time that I can bring a special focus on all that I have been blessed with. Let's just face it, turkeys, tee pees, pilgrims and pumpkin everything are some great stuff!
