Last month, I started the year of coming unto Christ by developing His attributes. We focused on Faith in Christ for January.  I loved being intentional of thinking about and increasing my faith in my Savior. One thing that I did was study "The Living Christ", as well as use the worksheet and write down what thoughts I had throughout the month as I thought about and studied Faith.

Last year, I painted the "The Son of God is Born". I attached them to each of my neighbor gifts. I love focusing on our Savior's birth during Christmas time. I've been contemplating about opening a shop for my paintings. I decided that I would offer some pass along cards for free in the mean time. I remember standing up in my fifth grade classroom and singing, "I'm Proud to Be an American, where at least I know I'm free." (Words from Lee Greenwood, "God Bless the USA") That year was profound to me in gaining patriotism for the country I live in. I am grateful for our forefathers and for all those throughout the history of the United States who have fought and sacrificed so much for the freedoms that we enjoy today.

When I saw the picture of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in Rome in front of the Christus Statue and the statues of the original twelve apostles, I knew that I had to do a digital watercolor of it! 

What a momentous event to have all of them in Rome for the dedication of the temple. How blessed we are to live in a time of prophets and apostles. I loved hearing each of their testimonies on the social media channels and the video of them reciting "The Living Christ", while in Rome.

General Conference is coming up and I am so excited to listen to their messages. How amazing is it to be taught the words of the Lord! The other day I used this watercolor to help my children learn the apostles and First Presidency. I had them guess who was who. I know that they listen so much better to conference when they recognize the leader.
