2018 Primary Sharing Time Ideas for March Week 3: Because Jesus was resurrected, I will be too.

Ideas for March Week 3 LDS Primary Sharing Time,

2018 Sharing Time Outline Theme: I am a Child of God

March 2018 Sharing Time Topic: Jesus Christ Is Our Savior

March 2018 Song: “If the Savior Stood Beside Me” (page 28 in sharing time outline)

March Week 3 Topic: Because Jesus was resurrected, I will be too.

Preparation:

Prayerfully study and think about what the specific needs of your primary are and how you can teach them this doctrine. The most important thing is to love those you teach and to teach them by the Spirit!! Focus on building their testimonies and helping them come unto Christ!  (All printables for this sharing time can be found and printed by clicking the "Free Printable Download" button. They are free and can be printed and used for personal and church purposes)

Sharing Time Instruction:

Have two pictures on the board, The crucifixion and the resurrection.

Point to the two pictures and ask the primary children to explain what those pictures are about.

Show the primary children the week's theme poster and invite them to repeat, "Because Jesus was resurrected, I will be too."

Explain that last week we learned about the atonement and repentance. This week we are going to be learning about the Savior's Crucifixion and His Resurrection.

To learn about it we are going to be playing a matching game.

Place the printables face down on the board (Your will need to print two of each of the printables).

Invite a primary child to come and pick two of them. Turn them over and see if they match. If they match then set them aside together. If they don't match turn them back over.

Continue with until all papers have been matched.

When all cards have been matched, have the primary children help you put them in order. (Jesus was betrayed by Judas; Jesus was crucified; The body of Jesus was placed in the tomb; Jesus was resurrected; We will be resurrected too)

After they are in order discuss each one with the primary.

Close by sharing your testimony of the Savior's resurrection and that we will be resurrected too.

Printables and Discussion:

1- Jesus was betrayed by Judas: Read Luke 22:48. Discuss with the primary children that after the Savior had suffered and atoned in the Garden of Gethsemane, a multitude came, in the the multitude was one of His apostles, Judas. Judas came forward to kiss the Savior.

2- Jesus was crucified: Read D&C 45:52, you could also read of Christ's Crucifixion found in Luke 23:26-46. Discuss with the primary children how Jesus was presented and the multitude cried out to crucify him. Discuss how he carried his cross to Golgotha, where he was nailed to the cross. Explain that the crucifixion finished the atonement of Jesus Christ, giving His life, that we might live eternally.

3- The body of Jesus was placed in the tomb: Read Luke 23:50-56, discuss that after Jesus was crucified, the wrapped his body in linens and laid them in a tomb.

4- Jesus was resurrected: Read Mark 16:1-6, discuss with the primary children that upon finding the tomb empty the angel told Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, that Jesus had risen. Meaning he was to be resurrected he had overcame death as had been prophesied.

5- We will be resurrected too: Read Mosiah 15:20, discuss with the primary children that because of the Savior's death and resurrection, we will all be resurrected too. Our bodies and our spirits will be reunited, never to be separated again.

    1. I just checked it out and everything looks good. Just make sure you are trying to print from a computer and not a mobile device. Another thing that might be happening is too many people trying to print at once. I did see a large spike today. Keep trying and if your still having problems, let me know. Thanks!!

This is my first time serving in a primary presidency and these have helped me so much. I feel more confident in my lessons and they are always so fun.
I am however also having trouble printing the lesson this time. I will try again in the morning to see if I can get it to work.
