Spiritual Goal, A Year of Coming Unto Christ by Developing Christlike Attributes: July is Humility,

In January, I had this thought that I wanted to come more unto the Savior. So I decided to start focusing on His attributes. Each month there will be a Christlike attribute focus. We focused on Faith in Christ for JanuaryHope in FebruaryCharity and Love in MarchVirtue in April, Knowledge in May and Patience in June.  I love being more intentional in striving to be more like my Savior. You could do this individually. Or  you could invite your Relief Society Sisters, Ministering sisters, friends or Young Women to engage in the study and development as well.

Here is the schedule for the year:

Humility!! What an important attribute. When I think of our Savior's example of humility, He gave all of the recognition to His Father. He aligned His will perfectly with His Father's. He sought for no glory, but freely gave what He could give.

In our lives we too can recognize that all we have comes from a loving Heavenly Father. As He has given us much, we can freely give of what we have been given. I think also, that it is important to recognize that we can not achieve our mission of exaltation by ourselves. It takes us humbly turning to our Savior. It takes us putting off our natural selves and striving to become more like Him. Glory always goes to our Heavenly Father.

In Preach My Gospel, is says this about Humility: "Humility is willingness to submit to the will of the Lord and to give the Lord the honor for what is accomplished. It includes gratitude for His blessings and acknowledgment of your constant need for His divine help."

Here are some great resources to help with our study this month about humility:

Here is the worksheet that can help you in your study this month:

As I was thinking of what else I might share, I decided to share one of my digital paintings. I love this one of the woman who was brought before the Savior to be condemned. Each one of us is striving to progress, to overcome our sins and inadequacies. It takes humility to turn to our Savior. He is lovingly waiting there for us, to give us the cleansing and healing power we need. Thank you so much for stopping by! I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences with developing this attribute. Send me an email or message me on  Instagram or Facebook.
