My Thoughts:
I love learning more about my Savior. As I do, my testimony in Him is strengthened.  It is amazing to think of the power and glory that our elder brother Jesus possesses. As was said in the visiting teaching message, "The scriptures teach us that Jesus Christ “received all power, both in heaven and on earth, and the glory of the Father was with him” (D&C 93:17)"  Wow, all power! For me when I think of this we know that our purpose and desire here on this earth is to become like our Heavenly Father. We know that our Savior is the perfect example, which means we also, have a desire to become like Him.  One day when my time here is through and I have the opportunity to stand accountable infront of the Savior, I hope that I will have lived my life in a way that I will be able to inherit the powers and glory that my Heavenly Father has in store for me.

This past month I have been reading of the miracles performed by the Savior.  It is inspiring to read of the love and desire the Savior had to help those in need.  We are each in need.  In need of His love, His grace, His forgiveness and mercy.  We are in need of the atonement.  I am so grateful for my Savior that through Him I can have the power to overcome my inadequacies and trials.  That through His grace He can make up the difference. I love this scripture, "Nevertheless, the Lord God showeth us our weakness that we may know that it is by his grace, and his great condescensions unto the children of men, that we have power to do these things." (Jacob 4:7)

I know that as we keep our covenants which we make with our Heavenly Father, we will indeed be strengthened. As He as said, " I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise." (D&C 82:10) I loved the quote by Sister Linda K. Burton, “Covenant keeping strengthens, empowers, and protects. … I recently met a dear new friend. She testified that after she had received her temple endowment, she felt strengthened with power to resist temptations.”  I hope that we can each strive to make and keep the sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father. That we may attend the temple more frequently. So, we can receive that strength, protection and power, that our Heavenly Father desires to give us!

Gift Idea:

I think a great idea for a gift would be either a temple recommend holder or a temple card name holder.
