Quick, fun Tic-Tac-Toe Block Craft Project! {Great Kids Craft}

A few months back my son had one last thing to do for him to receive his Wolf in Cub Scouts. That one last thing was to make something. He decided to make this fun little Tic-Tac-Toe game.
What you need to make it:

A block of wood. The piece of wood we used was MDF.
Duck Tape
A little baggy
Buttons or other objects for the spacers
If block is unfinished then you may need sandpaper and paint to finish it.

Measurements:
Our block of wood measured, 3 1/2 by 3. You could use any size you have on hand or desire it to be.  The duck tape strips measured: 3 1/4 x 3/8 for the taller strips and 2 3/4 by 3/8 for the shorter strips. If your block was square then you could have the same length for all strips.

What you need to do:

If the block is unfinished and you would like to finish it, then sand it and paint it to desired color. Our block already had this white coating on it, so my kiddo decided not to paint it. Take the duck tape and cut it to a length. Then tear the duck tape in half length wise so you have two strips. Tear it again length wise, now you will have four skinny strips.

Place the strips onto the block making the tic-tac-toe pattern. Place your spacers in the small baggie and either tape or glue it onto the back of the block.  When it's time to play, take the spacers out and have fun playing a game of tic-tac-toe.

My kiddo was pretty proud of his project and that he had his very own game that he had made!
